Entropy generation and heat transport analysis of Casson fluid flow with viscous and Joule heating in an inclined porous microchannel
The combined effects of the magnetic field, suction/injection, and convective boundary condition on heat transfer and entropy generation in an electrically conducting Casson fluid flow through an inclined porous microchannel are scrutinized. The temperature-dependent heat source is also accounted. Numerical simulation for the modelled problem is presented via RungeKuttaFelhberg-based shooting technique. Special attention is given to analyze the impact of involved parameters on the profiles of velocity (u(?)), temperature (?(?)), entropy generation (Ns), and Bejan number (Be.) It is established that entropy generation rate decreases at the walls with an increase in Hartmann number (M), while it increases at the center region of the microchannel. IMechE 2019. -
The sparing number of certain graph powers
Let N0 be the set of all non-negative integers and P(N0) be its power set. Then, an integer additive set-indexer (IASI) of a given graph G is an injective function f : V(G) ! P(N0) such that the induced function f+ : E(G) ! P(N0) deffned by f+(uv) = f(u) + f(v) is also injective. An IASI f is said to be a weak IASI if jf+(uv)j = max(jf(u)j; jf(v)j) for all u; v 2 V(G). A graph which admits a weak IASI may be called a weak IASI graph. The set-indexing number of an element of a graph G, a vertex or an edge, is the cardinality of its set-labels. The sparing number of a graph G is the minimum number of edges with singleton set-labels, required for a graph G to admit a weak IASI. Improved image denoising with the integrated model of Gaussian filter and neighshrink SURE
Image denoising, being an important preprocessing stage in image processing, minimizes the noise interfering with the information content of the image. The denoising problems are addressed by various techniques starting from the Fourier transforms to wavelets. Because of the localized time frequency features and advantages of multi resolution capabilities, the wavelets have been extensively used in the denoising process. The development of algorithms for the wavelet thresholding or shrinkage strategies along with different filters have resulted in the betterment of image quality after the denoising. Even though the image denoising algorithm based on a combination of Gaussian and Bilateral filters, shows good performance but lacks in consistency with respect to the noise levels and also the type of images used. This paper discusses the advantages of NeighShrink SURE rule in developing an effective thresholding strategy, thereby proposing a improved denoising method incorporating the NeighShrink SURE rule along with combination of Gaussian filter model. The methodology employs the use of subband thresholding derived from the NeighShrink SURE rule. The outcome of the proposed method exhibits a comparatively improved performance in Peak Signal to Ratio (PSNR) and Image Quality Index (IQI) values of the test images. BEIESP. -
Hybrid cryptography security in public cloud using TwoFish and ECC algorithm
Cloud computing is a structure for rendering service to the user for free or paid basis through internet facility where we can access to a bulk of shared resources which results in saving managing cost and time for large companies, The data which are stored in the data center may incur various security, damage and threat issues which may result in data leakage, insecure interface and inside attacks. Taylor series method in TDOA approach for indoor positioning system
Localisation technologies have always remained in the limelight of positioning-science as researchers have ever shown keen interest to know the exact positions of things. Ultrasonic sensors are mainly used for localisation of mobile robots since they provide high accuracy. This paper presents Taylor Series Method in Time Difference of Arrival approach using ultrasonic sensors.Signals are send from the sensors periodically. The time difference of arrival of signals from the ultrasonic sensors is used by the receiver unit to estimate the location of the mobile unit. The equations formed by using Time Difference of Approach are solved using Taylor Series Method. Photocatalytic activity of bismuth silicate heterostructures synthesized via surfactant mediated sol-gel method
A surfactant mediated sol-gel method is employed to synthesize bismuth silicate heterostructures with tunable morphologies and properties. The synthesized nanoparticle samples were characterized by XRD, FTIR Spectroscopy, SEM-EDAX and UV-DRS. The synthesized bismuth silicates exhibit excellent photodegradation against malachite green and rhodamine B dyes in the aqueous medium. Bismuth silicates (10% SiO2-Bi2O3) show superior photocatalytic property and outstanding reusability compared to pure bismuth oxide. The kinetics of the photodegradation of the dyes shows that the reaction follows first-order kinetics with the regression coefficient of 0.99. Thus, enabling Bismuth silicates heterostructures practical application as a photocatalyst for clean water. 2019 Elsevier Ltd -
On L? (2, 1)-Edge Coloring Number of Regular Grids
In this paper, we study multi-level distance edge labeling for infinite rectangular, hexagonal and triangular grids. We label the edges with non-negative integers. If the edges are adjacent, then their color difference is at least 2 and if they are separated by exactly a single edge, then their colors must be distinct. We find the edge coloring number of these grids to be 9, 7 and 16, respectively so that we could color the edges of a rectangular, hexagonal and triangular grid with at most 10, 8 and 17 colors, respectively using this coloring technique. Impact of financial literacy on investment behavior and consumption behaviour of middle-class families in Karnataka, India
Financial Literacy is an inevitable parameter in the current competitive society. The process of financial literacy is to make people aware about safe savings and other investment products available. This improved awareness will lead to better financial behaviour in terms of saving, budgeting and availing the credit wisely at cheaper cost. In tune with that, an attempt has been made in this paper to measure the impact of financial literacy on investment behavior and consumption behavior of middle-class families in Karnataka. Structured questionnaire is used to collect the data from 444 respondents. Stratified random sampling method is adopted.Confirmatory factor analysis is used to verify the model, and hypothesized relation is tested by applying the Structural Equation Model (SEM) to find the goodness of fit. The study resulted in that financial literacy has an impact on investment behavior and consumption behavior of the middle-class families in Karnataka. However, investment behavior is not influencing the consumption behavior of an individual and vice versa. 2019 SERSC. -
Application of normal wiggly dual hesitant fuzzy sets to site selection for hydrogen underground storage
The hesitant fuzzy set is a mathematical tool to express multiple values in decision making. If they could not give a resolution, it is important to give priority and importance to a number of different values. Here, we propose normal wiggly dual hesitant fuzzy set (NWDHFS), as an extension of normal wiggly hesitant fuzzy set. We define a new score function of normal wiggly dual hesitant fuzzy information. The NWDHFS can express deep ideas of membership and non-membership information. In this work, we use hesitant fuzzy set to expose the deepest ideas hidden in the thought-level of the decision makers. We show that the NWDHFS can handle the hesitant fuzzy information. It expresses the deeper ideas of hesitant fuzzy set. An illustration is provided to demonstrate the practicality and effectiveness to the application of site selection of the underground storage of hydrogen. We are compelled to look for alternating fuels to suits changing weather conditions and increasing number of vehicles. This alternative fuel is necessary to control global warming and to be economically viable. Based on this, hydrogen gas is selected as a good alternative fuel. The most important statement is the saving of the selected hydrogen gas. Thus, when saving hydrogen fuel, a safe storage space must be selected. Impact of homogeneous-heterogeneous reactions in a hybrid nanoliquid flow due to porous medium
Chemical responses are investigated as a piece of the modern applications like hydrometallurgical industry, food processing, and polymer production. Numerous chemical responding structures consolidate homogeneous and heterogeneous response and it is especially eccentric. Hence, this paper explains how the hybrid nanoliquid flow is handy in accelerate the thermochemical possessions of the base fluid in existence of homogeneous-heterogeneous reactions. Here, three different types of hybrid nanoliquid used are copper-Al2O 3/water, silver-Al 2O 3/water, and gold-Al 2O 3/water. Outcoming differential systems are resolved numerically by adopting fourth-order and fifth-order Runge-Kutta-Fehlberg method. To get better view of the topic, the flow field, temperature behavior, and concentration curves are investigated for particular estimations of critical elements. Digital financial inclusion: A payoff of financial technology and digital finance uprising in India

Readiness factors for information technology adoption in SMEs: testing an exploratory model in an Indian context
Purpose: Extant literature regarding factors essential for successful information technologies (IT) implementation in small and medium enterprises (SMEs) does not significantly address readiness factors for IT implementation in an Indian context. This exploratory research develops and tests a framework to analyse the antecedents to organisational preparedness for adoption of IT infrastructure in SMEs. Design/methodology/approach: This exploratory research adopts a mixed-method approach to test the technology, organization and environment (TOE) framework. In-depth interviews with SME owners are conducted to develop the case study, and the measures obtained are tested through a survey at a small and medium business industrial cluster in Southern India in SMEs. Findings: The case study indicates SME owners drive to initiate technology preparedness for organisational sustainability is a key factor, a measure not seen during the literature review. An empirical study tests the measures. Pressure from customers, owners age, sales of SME, owners attitude towards IT and owners knowledge of IT was confirmed, which indicates organisational factors have more impact compared to technological and environmental factors. Research limitations/implications: The academic scope of this research paper can be extended to contexts such as readiness in IT infrastructure for digital transformation. Practical implications: The validated research framework can be used by organisation stakeholders and SME IT practitioners for successful IT adoption. Social implications: SMEs contribute significantly to gross domestic product (GDP) and provide employment opportunities. Hence, this research provides a tested model that SMEs owners/managers can adopt as a framework to augment competitiveness to implement IT. Originality/value: The study adopts a mixed-method research design and is, perhaps, a first in the Indian context to explore variables through case study and validate identified measures through an empirical study. Gold vs Gold Exchange Traded Funds: An Empirical Study in India
This study aim of this is to estimate the relationship between gold and Gold Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) and the performance of Gold ETFs in India by using various statistical models. The data for the study covers a period of three years from 2015 to 2018. The data was collected from the National Stock Exchange database and other sources. The outcome of this study was to find out whether there is a relationship between gold and Gold ETFs. It was found out that Gold ETFs has more returns than the physical gold; Axis ETF performed the best among those Gold ETFs selected for the study. Sustainable after sale services: The effect of perceived value on customers behavioural intention
There is an increasing beleive that the biggest show stopper in any industry will no longer be technology or capital, but the environment (Sheth & Sinha, 2015). It evidently defines the main problem of our world today, and the concern, regarding our future generations. Ensuring that our action today do not limit the range of economic, social, and environmental options to future generation, the fundamental principle of sustainability has emerged (Trevena, Kaldor & Downs, 2014).In light of the same concern, Recently, sustainability management has developed in the service industry. Green/sustainable after sale services in customer durables have been progressively joining the service industry. Customersupport determinesthe sustainable development of the consumer durable industry for their services. This paper aims to explore relationships among perceived values viz. hedonic and utilitarian values, and behaviour intentions of the customer. A total of 360valid questionnaires were collected, and regression method was used to measure and test the research hypotheses. Thestudy presents empirical evidence of impact of hedonic and utilitarian values on customersbehavioural intentions. Thermal behavior of PC-ABS based graphene filled polymer nanocomposite synthesized by FDM process
Property enhancement of polymers could be achieved through blending of two or more polymers and via addition of filler materials to meet the application requirements. In the present investigation Polycarbonate (PC) and Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS), the two polymers were blended together and Graphene platelets as nanofiller was added in the ratio of 0.2, 0.4, 0.6 and 0.8 wt% respectively. Polymer blend and graphene platelets were mixed at appropriate temperature and extruded out in the form of filament of 1.75 mm diameter. Filament was used as a feed material for Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM) to develop the test samples. The nanocomposites developed using FDM were subjected to differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) and Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) to study the effect of graphene platelets. Addition of graphene platelets resulted in significant increase in Young's modulus with highest value of 4.038 GPa obtained for nanocomposite with 0.8% graphene content. Thermal analysis showed that addition of graphene platelets increases the glass transition temperature and reduces the mass with increase in temperature. 2019 -
Do fine dine restaurants satisfy customer needs?Diners perception of functional aspects of quality, value and satisfaction
Objectives: Guest satisfaction has emerged as a potentially important factor in restaurant performance and function. The objective of this paper is to examine the current state of guest satisfaction and factors affecting them in fine dining restaurant through a review of the literature. The review focuses on six determinants and their effect on guest satisfaction. Design: A systematic review of lighting, Type of music, food quality, food quantity, food plating and foodservice about guest satisfaction was performed. Review methods: The literature was derived from the published research articles. The selection criteria for the review included the studies that were; written in English, related to guest satisfaction in the hospitality sector, employee performance in the hospitality sector. Results: The literature review identified five distinct lines of research that have focused on guest satisfaction in fine dining restaurants. Total 52 guest satisfaction based articles referenced in this paper, a sample of 30 studies reported on the examination of antecedents of satisfaction among guests. Key findings suggest that all the five factors that are; lighting, Type of music, food quality, food quantity food plating, and foodservice significantly impact on guest satisfaction. Conclusions: The study of Factors affecting guest satisfaction in a fine dining restaurant helps in the restaurant to build an image in the minds of their guests and creates awareness for Guests on how fine dining functions. Future research is required to provide restaurants a better understanding of their guests for their satisfaction. 2019 SERSC. -
Asymmetric dynamic conditional copula correlation and fundamental determinants of interest rate comovement
We study time-varying interest rate comovement and its determinants for the retail banking sector in the euro area over pre-crisis and during crisis, between 2003 and 2018. The analysis is conducted for 11 euro area countries, each classified as either core or periphery. Copula Asymmetric DCC-GARCH is estimated for each country-pair to measure the dynamic interest rate correlations for deposits and loans to households. We then examine the determinants by regressing quarterly correlations on macroeconomic and cross-border linkages, banking, and sociological variables. We also assess the impact of the two crises and of policy initiatives, including negative interest rate, Single Supervisory Mechanism, and Single Regulatory Mechanism. Different panel regressions reveal limited, although varied, influence of determinants on correlations across different products, maturities, and country groups. We conclude that the intrinsic features of the retail banking industry, such as customers' trust, information asymmetry, and political influence, hinder strong interest rate convergence in the euro area. 2019-Center for Economic Integration, Sejong Institution, Sejong University, All Rights Reserved. -
A machine learning model for population analysis among different states in India which influences the socio, demographic and economic needs of society
In this work Data from 2011 census is taken to identify the state which influences more in Population census among the different states identified. The data is considered from Madhya Pradesh, followed with Utter Pradesh, then to Bihar, Bengal and Orissa. Similarly other case studies are also done for Southern Indian states and North Eastern States. Genetic algorithm will be tried to find the optimal location for the given study. A fitting function is calculated for the population data of 2011 using Lagrange Interpolation technique. This fitting function is given as input to Genetic algorithm to find the optimal state which have maximum influence in the population growth among different states of India as per the Case studies done. Sensitivity analysis of radiative heat transfer in Casson and nano fluids under diffusion-thermo and heat absorption effects
The exact analysis of the magnetohydrodynamic flow of a Newtonian nanofluid past an inclined plate through a porous medium is carried out. The flows of a Newtonian nanofluid and a non-Newtonian Casson fluid are juxtaposed. The heat transport phenomenon is analyzed in the presence of Dufour and heat absorption effects. The Darcy model and Rosseland approximation are employed to simulate the effects of porous media and radiative heat. The exact solutions are obtained by using the Laplace transform method. The effects of different physical parameters on the velocity, temperature and concentration profiles are scrutinized using graphs. Statistical techniques, like the slope of data points, coefficient of correlation, probable error, and multiple linear regression, are employed to analyze the rate of heat transfer and skin friction coefficient. Further, the sensitivity of the skin friction coefficient and Nusselt number are analyzed using the Response Surface Methodology (RSM).
