Tag indicator: a new predictive tool for stock trading
In this paper, TAGan indicator for stock market prediction in which volume-based means for measuring potential trading and investing decision-making is introduced. This task has been in correlation of the changes in the volume with the changes in the actual trade volume. Using this, a concise trading strategy is formulated. Hoping to outperform the market and analyze the results by back testing across intraday, price data for the last 1 year, 2019, is performed. It was discovered that about 48.9% of the time, the volume-based trading strategy outperformed and the returns from market are also healthy enough to support the claim. Statistical methods like linear regression, mean square error in prediction and stochastic gradient descent are applied. Furthermore, while the scope of the study was limited to a few stocks in Nifty in order to mitigate selection bias, nonetheless, we hypothesize that numerous other assets that similarly possess a predictable correlation to volumes based on daily high and low are likely to exist. Technology based scalable businesses (TSB) have made a significant impact on our lives. The landscape change driven by TSBs has forced many well-established brick-and-mortar businesses to relook at their business models. Despite the influential strides made by TSBs in altering the business landscape the business literature on them is scant. This chapter is a modest attempt to examine TSBs. Scalable businesses could be broadly described as those that can achieve a disproportionate increase in sales/revenue/profits compared to the costs incurred, primarily aided by technology. Google and Uber are examples of how new industries get created and how existing industry landscapes get changed because of technology. Text Summarization Using Combination of Sequence-To-Sequence Model with Attention Approach
In daily life, we come across tons and tons of information which can be related to news articles or any kind of social media posts or customer reviews related to product. It is difficult to read all the content due to time constraint. Being able to develop the software that can identify and automatically extract the important information. There are two types of summarization methods. Extractive text summarization is the method where it picks the important content from the source text and gives same in the form of short summary, and on the other hand, abstractive summarization is the technique where it gets the context of the source text, and based on that context, it regenerates small and crisps summary. Textile tourism and the challenges of the indigenous handloom sector in Northern Kerala
This study investigates the functioning of indigenous handloom enterprises and their relationship with textile tourism. It also explores the regional textile industry and the challenges weavers encounter in promoting their goods to visitors and exporters. Data was collected using a purposive sampling method, and a structured questionnaire was administered to 120 weavers from four textile weaving centers in Kozhikode, Kerala. The most significant obstacle for weavers and independent producers is the lack of direct communication with customers and the limited access to information provided by manufacturers, corporations, and gallery owners. Firstly, handcrafted items are becoming more accessible and affordable; secondly, the interest of the younger generation is gradually fading, which reduces the number of skilled professionals. The result of this study provides insight into how Khadi Textiles has the potential to contribute positively to socioeconomic achievements and enhance weaver's and destination image. 2024, IGI Global. The Accountability of Stakeholders in Combating Domestic Violence with Women in India
As per the Hindu tradition, women are considered as ardhangini and the western civilisation considers them as better half. Since ancient times, women have been considered as the epitome of love, kindness, care and above all the mother of mankind. But on the contrary, the most terrible and horrifying cruelties are imposed upon her. The predominant type of violence which is inflicted upon a woman is domestic violence also known as intimate partner violence. According to the World Health Organisation, almost one third, i.e., 27% of the women aged between 15 and 49 years, who have been in a relationship report that they have been subjected to some form of physical or sexual violence by their intimate partner. The issue of domestic violence has been addressed at both international and national levels, but still there exists a persistent gap in enforcing and implementing them. And this can be easily proved from the continuous rise in the cases of domestic violence worldwide, especially during the COVID times. The problem that needs to be addressed at hand is the role of several accountable stakeholders involved in the process of providing access to justice to the women affected by domestic violence. According to the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act (2005), in India, the several stakeholders include the protection officers, service providers, lawyers, police officers, shelter homes and judges. The broad-basing process in India and muslims
Muslims are recognised as numerically the most important among religious minorities in India. Broad-Basing has covered them, but the rate of catching up with the rest is not satisfactory. There has been a faster decline in poverty rate among Muslims than among the rest. The preponderance of the informal economy into which most of the Muslim workers are caught, their lower representation in higher education and gender biases are major stumbling blocks in their progress. The lower work participation of Muslim women is a significant factor in Muslims lagging behind others in employment. Most Muslim converts in India are believed to have come from the lower social groups, particularly artisans. Rural artisans suffered deprivation both during the colonial period due to cheaper imports of manufactured goods from England, and also subsequently after independence due to the rise of modern industry. Most of the artisans were reduced to the status of agricultural labourers. Thus the destiny of Muslims in India is tied up greatly with that of the informal sector.
