An advanced variable temperature refrigerator for preservation and management of food items
All food items will have shelf life period. The main aim of food preservation is to maximize the shelf life period and preservation of nutrients for a long period. One of the preservation methods is refrigeration. Each food item will have its own optimum storage temperature to maximize the shelf life period. Normal refrigerators have fixed temperature. The work proposes a refrigerator with six compartments which is equipped with temperature sensors to maintain the fixed temperature for that compartment and with weighing sensors to monitor the depleting food items with the help of a controller. 2019, Institute of Advanced Scientific Research, Inc. An AHP-TOPSIS Approach for Optimizing the Mechanical Performance of Natural Fiber-Based Green Composites
Natural fibers have emerged as an effective replacement for synthetic fibers in the fabrication of green composites to be used for producing various components in automotive, aerospace, and other applications. In this proposed study, the mechanical properties of banana and coir fiber-based green composites have been optimized by using a hybrid AHP-TOPSIS approach. Corn starch along with glycerol has been used as the matrix material for fabricating the green composites. The mechanical properties such as tensile strength, flexural strength, and impact strength of the developed green composite have been optimized with a focus on the utilization of this composite in automotive and aerospace applications. Three different weight percentages (0%, 5%, and 10%) of banana and coir fibers was considered for the fabrication of green composites. The constituents of the green composite have been taken as the input variables whereas the mechanical properties of the green composite are considered as the output variables for designing the experiment. The design of the experiment consisted of nine different combinations of input and output variables. Results of the study revealed that 5 wt.% of banana fiber, 10 wt.% of coir fiber, and 85 wt.% of corn starch provide the optimum mechanical performance of the developed green composites. 2022 A. N. An AI-enabled research support tool for the classification system of COVID-19
The outbreak of COVID-19, a little more than 2 years ago, drastically affected all segments of society throughout the world. While at one end, the microbiologists, virologists, and medical practitioners were trying to find the cure for the infection; the Governments were laying emphasis on precautionary measures like lockdowns to lower the spread of the virus. This pandemic is perhaps also the first one of its kind in history that has research articles in all possible areas as like: medicine, sociology, psychology, supply chain management, mathematical modeling, etc. A lot of work is still continuing in this area, which is very important also for better preparedness if such a situation arises in future. The objective of the present study is to build a research support tool that will help the researchers swiftly identify the relevant literature on a specific field or topic regarding COVID-19 through a hierarchical classification system. The three main tasks done during this study are data preparation, data annotation and text data classification through bi-directional long short-term memory (bi-LSTM). An algorithm for IoT based vehicle verification system using RFID
The verification of vehicle documents is an important role of transport department which is rising day by day due to the mass registration of the vehicles. An automated vehicle verification system can improve the efficiency of this process. In this paper, we propose an IOT based vehicle verification system using RFID technology. As a result, the vehicle checking which is done now manually can be replaced by automation. There is a loss of a significant amount of time when the normal vehicle checking is done manually. The proposed system will make this process automated. The present verification process is using inductive loops that are placed in a roadbed for detecting vehicles as they pass through the loop of the magnetic field. Similarly, the sensing devices spread along the road can detect passing vehicles through the Bluetooth mechanism. The fixed audio detection devices that can be used to identify the type of vehicles on the road. Other measurements are fixed cameras installed in specific points of roads for categorising the vehicles. But all these mechanisms cannot verify the documents and certificates of the vehicles. In our work, we have suggested an algorithm using RFID technology to automate the documentation verification process of the vehicles like Pollution, Insurance, Rc book etc with the help of RFID reader placed at road checking areas. An algorithm to detect an object in a confined space by using improved fingerprinting approach
The rapid evolution of location-based services has made tremendous changes in the society. In this paper, Trilateration method is implemented in fingerprinting methodology to obtain very precise and low error position details of the client portable device. Trilateration is a method in which the portable device is determined by the received signal strength intersecting at one position from the three reference points. Fingerprinting method involves several steps like training stage and positioning stage in which the training stage consists of the creation of the database of the signal strengths along with its associated location measurements. In the positioning step where effective and efficient received signal strength collected from the portable device is matched with the data saved into the database to get the position information of the client. The position of the user is estimated by collecting the received signal strengths from three reference points by using the concepts of trilateration approach in fingerprinting methodology to obtain more precise and accurate information. 2005 - ongoing JATIT & LLS. -

An analysis of factors associated with employee satisfaction in information technology companies
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: An employees satisfaction and performance are linked to the companys work discipline, personal factors, and organizational culture. This paper studies these three factors in the context of Information Technology companies and their connection to employee satisfaction. Job satisfaction is a significant issue in Information Technology Companies, leading to increased labour turnover in Information Technology Companies. The study highlights the relevance of Information Technology companies to understanding the reasons behind their employees satisfaction. Until now, little is known concerning the variants of job satisfaction among Information Technology employees, enriching the understanding in this particular professional area. The study was conducted to assess the job satisfaction needs of the employees in major Information Technology companies. The study helps to know the preferences and problems of the employees. METHODS: In this study, data was collected from employees from various Information Technology companies to uncover the factors that impact the satisfaction of employees. Considering the studys goal and the literature review, the technique was analytical and interpretive. Due to large populations random sampling method is convenient for the study. The studys objectives were achieved explicitly via the questionnaires design. To test the proposed hypotheses, all data were processed using the Structural Equation Modelling, Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) and Analysis of Moment Structures. FINDINGS: Information Technology companies need their employees to feel satisfied to achieve the overall objectives and remain loyal to the company to achieve company success. From the responses, we learned that 31% of the respondents were satisfied with their employer about the various allowances and benefits they receive. Also, we knew that around 50% of the respondents were happy with their choice of the company because of its future commitments. 102 of the respondents highly disagreed that they were satisfied with the attitude and nature of their employees. Also, 22.26% of the male respondents have said they are only sometimes motivated to go to work. The limitation of this study was that the collected data was only of the general employees of the Indian Information Technology companies and not to specific departments of those companies. Also, no categories of companies were defined as per turnover. CONCLUSION: By recognizing the importance of job satisfaction, managers can create an environment that motivates and engages employees, leading to better performance, increased productivity and reduced employee turnover 2024 Tehran Urban Research and Planning Center. The term digital trade is becoming more prevalent in the modern era. Newer company structures have evolved to replace traditional methods with online companies as digitalisation has become the standard. Taxi aggregators are one of the most prevalent digital business concepts. With this particular model, which is now known as taxi aggregators, you may quickly book a cab using your smartphone for transportation inside and outside the city limits. They are also inexpensive to use. Nevertheless, as lawmakers created new and revised rules to control these business models, the last two years have been very difficult for application-based taxi providers like Ola and Uber. The regulations are being developed by legislators in several nations, but the pace and the scope are much slower than necessary. An analysis of the ethical challenges of blockchain-enabled E-healthcare applications in 6G networks
Developments in blockchain technology coupled with rapid developments in network technologies have disrupted traditional business and service models. One such application is in the domain of healthcare. However, the domain's sensitive nature and complexity require blockchain-enabled e-healthcare to ensure utilitarianism while suitably addressing the associated ethical challenges. In this milieu, the paper attempts to identify and evaluate the parameters of ethical challenges associated with blockchain adoption in e-healthcare. This paper contributes to the extant body of knowledge by presenting a critical review of the ethical considerations at the meso level of blockchains in e-healthcare. Based on findings from the literature, the study identified nine parameters of blockchain ethics. Of these, Accuracy and Right to be Forgotten were found to be most critical in terms of ethical dilemmas in healthcare applications. No evidence of ethical dilemma could be found with respect to Accountability and Data Ownership. As these services are deployed over networks, all these challenges are further evaluated in the context of 6G network-based models. This will not only provide the stakeholders with a holistic view of the ethical challenges in various blockchain-enabled healthcare applications but also enable a meticulous transition to the 6G network. 2021 -

An analytical model for a TFET with an n-doped channel operating in accumulation and inversion modes
The tunnel field-effect transistor (TFET) is an ambipolar device that conducts current with the channel in both accumulation and inversion modes. Analytical expressions for the channel potential and current in a TFET with an n-doped channel when operating in the accumulation and inversion modes are proposed herein. The potential model is derived by solving the two-dimensional (2D) Poisson equation using the superposition principle while considering the charges present in the channel due to electron or hole accumulation along with the depletion charges. An expression for the tunneling current corresponding to the maximum tunneling probability is also derived. The tunneling current is obtained by analytically calculating the minimum tunneling length in a TFET when operating in the accumulation or inversion mode. The results of the proposed potential model is compared with technology computer-aided design (TCAD) simulations for TFET with various dimensions, revealing good agreement. An analytical study of linear and non-linear convection in Boussinesq-Stokes suspensions
The Rayleigh-Benard situation in Boussinesq-Stokes suspensions is investigated using both linear and non-linear stability analyses. The linear and non-linear analyses are based on a normal mode solution and minimal representation of double Fourier series, respectively. The effect of suspended particles on convection is delineated against the background of the results of the clean fluid. The realm of non-linear convection warrants the quantification of heat transfer and this has been achieved on the Rayleigh-Nusselt plane. An ancestral genomic locus in Mycobacterium tuberculosis clinical isolates from India hints the genetic link with Mycobacterium canettii
Background: Tuberculosis remains a worldwide public health emergency. To better understand M. tuberculosis and to identify genomic variations characteristic to the Indian clinical isolates by a low-cost method, a genomic subtractive hybridization between M. tuberculosis H37Rv and a clinical isolate from South India was performed. Results: This revealed a novel 0.4-kb subtractive fragment which was used as a handle to pull out a 4.5-kb genomic region characteristic to the clinical isolate and was absent in H37Rv. On further studies, this 4.5-kb region was found to be present in 91% of the M. tuberculosis clinical isolates screened from Kerala, a state in South India. Interestingly, this novel region has 99% identity (with 100% query coverage) with genomic regions of M. canettii. Discussion: The present study hypothesizes that this locus was present in the recent common environmental ancestor of mycobacteria, retained to the maximum extent in M. canettii and ancestral isolates of M. tuberculosis, and later deleted in other modern lineages of M. tuberculosis. Thus, this region may serve as one of the links between the pathogenic mycobacteria and the environmental species. We also propose that the Indian isolates of M. tuberculosis might be closely related to the putative progenitor M. prototuberculosis with respect to this locus. More studies on other genomic loci from different strains of M. tuberculosis are required to establish more links in this direction. 2020, Springer Nature Switzerland AG. -

An Anomaly Detection Framework for Twitter Data
An anomaly indicates something unusual, related to detecting a sudden behavior change, and is also helpful in detecting irregular and malicious behavior. Anomaly detection identifies unusual events, suspicious objects, or observations that differ significantly from normal behavior or patterns. Discrepancies in data can be observed in different ways, such as outliers, standard deviation, and noise. Anomaly detection helps us understand the emergence of specific diseases based on health-related tweets. This paper aims to analyze tweets to detect the unusual emergence of healthcare-related tweets, especially pre-COVID-19 and during COVID-19. After pre-processing, this work collected more than 44 thousand tweets and performed topic modeling. Non-negative matrix factorization (NMF) and latent Dirichlet allocation (LDA) were deployed for topic modeling, and a query set was designed based on resultant topics. This query set was used for anomaly detection using a sentence transformer. K-means was also employed for clustering outlier tweets from the cleaned tweets based on similarity. Finally, an unusual cluster was selected to identify pandemic-like healthcare emergencies. Experimental results show that the proposed framework can detect a sudden rise of unusual tweets unrelated to regular tweets. An Application of the Caputo Fractional Domain in the Analysis of a COVID-19 Mathematical Model
Vaccination programs aimed at preventing the spread of the coronavirus appear to have a significant global impact. In this research, we have investigated a mathematical model projecting COVID-19 disease spread by considering five groups of individuals viz. vulnerable, exposed, infected, unreported, recovered, and vaccinated. Looking at the current abnormal pattern of the virus spread in the projected model, we have implemented the fractional derivative in the Mittag-Leffler context. Using the existing theory of the fractional derivative, we have examined the theoretical aspects such as the existence and uniqueness of the solutions, the existence and stability of the disease-free and endemic equilibrium points, and the global stability of the disease-free equilibrium point. In computing the basic reproduction number, we have analyzed that the existence and stability of points of equilibrium are dependent on this number. The sensitivity of the basic reproduction number is also examined. The importance of the vaccination drive is highlighted by relating it to the basic reproduction number. Finally, we have presented the simulation of the numerical results by capturing the profile of each group under the influence of the fractional derivative and investigated the impact of vaccination rate and contact rate in controlling the disease by applying the Adams-Bashforth-Moultan (ABM) method. The present research study demonstrates the importance of the vaccination campaign and the curb on individual contact by featuring a novel fractional operator in the projected model and capturing the corresponding consequence. 2024 P. An approach to finding customer-value and devising marketing strategies by using data-mining techniques
The digital marketing space is an outcome of the advent of digital age and the booming network technology. The earlier methods of marketing have almost been eclipsed with this digital marketing, which could include any material, information, videos on the internet and social media, etc. The marked distinction between a digital and traditional marketing is that the former uses digital devices in the traditional space. People today consume innumerable products daily and getting to know the customer's interests, their transaction's history, identifying a loyal customer and estimating their lifetime value are all at the very heart of digital marketing. It is here, in this context, that data mining techniques play a key role. This unique blending of data mining techniques with digital marketing will help merchants increase their sales and revenue exponentially. This research paper explores the possibility of finding the frequent item-set generated by a customer while making purchases, tracking their loyalty based on the number of purchases and their frequency and thereafter devising an appropriate marketing strategy for that particular product type. It is the analysis of the product based on the previous marketing experiences of the consumer. This system will boost a merchant's businesses by identifying their loyal customers (customer segmentation), best sold products (product recommendation) and reveal the different marketing strategies that can be adopted by them to reach out to their potential customers and thus increase their sales (Strategy selection/combination). An aqueous phase TEMPO mediated electrooxidation of 2-thiophenemethanol using MnO2-Pi dispersed nanocarbon spheres on a carbon fiber paper electrode
An environmentally benign and economic method was developed for the electrocatalytic oxidation of 2-thiophenemethanol in an aqueous acidic medium. Nanocarbon spheres (NCS) coated on carbon fiber paper (CFP) were used as a host matrix to disperse manganese dioxide nanoparticles from phosphate buffer solution through electrochemical deposition. The developed electrode (MnO2-Pi-NCS/CFP) was used as a working electrode for electrochemical oxidation of 2-thiophenemethanol in the presence of a mediator TEMPO in 0.01 M H2SO4 medium. Different analytical methods were used to characterize the modified electrodes. Cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) were used to study the electrochemical properties of the modified electrodes. The electrochemically active surface area values calculated for bare CFP, NCS coated CFP and MnO2-Pi-NCS/CFP electrodes were found to be 1.43 cm2, 2.86 cm2, and 6.72 cm2 respectively for the geometric area of 0.7 cm2 of the electrodes. Coating of NCS and MnO2-Pi resulted in porosity and roughness of the CFP electrode which enhances the surface area. MnO2-Pi-NCS/CFP demonstrated higher electrocatalytic activity for oxidation of 2-thiophenemethanol to 2-thiophenemethanal in aqueous acidic media with a TEMPO mediator compared to unmodified electrodes. An Aqueous Phase TEMPO-Mediated Electrooxidation of Benzyl Alcohol at ?-CD-PPy-Modified Carbon Fibre Paper Electrode
A green and facile electrocatalytic method for the oxidation of benzyl alcohol in an acidic aqueous medium was developed using an anionic micellar system. ?-cyclodextrin-polypyrrole-modified carbon fibre paper (?-CD-PPy/CFP) electrode was successfully used in the oxidation of benzyl alcohol with TEMPO as the mediator. The modified electrode was characterized by cyclic voltammetry (CV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and Raman spectroscopy. The modified electrode exhibited a strong electrocatalytic activity towards TEMPO-mediated oxidation of benzyl alcohol.
