Consumer response towards personalised pricing strategies in online marketing
E-tailers are now capable of customising prices for an individual buyer or a group of buyers who exhibit similar behavioural traits and perceived ability to pay. Tailoring prices based on personal information may evoke unanticipated reactions as it could infringe users privacy and hurt fair price perceptions. To investigate the potential impact of positive and negative online personalised pricing situations, this study conducted a controlled experiment to observe the changes in consumer behaviour in a personalised pricing context. Seven hundred and twenty responses were collected from thriving online-active communities in India and Malaysia, both countries with high growth of e-commerce activities. Consumers reaction towards fair price, customer loyalty, privacy concern, purchase satisfaction; and the influence of these constructs on post purchase behaviours such as repurchase intentions, revenge intentions and strategic purchase intentions were analysed using PLS SEM modelling. Results indicate online consumers in both countries have high privacy concerns, and as it increased, their repurchase intentions decreased correspondingly. Strategic purchase intentions and revenge intentions increased regardless of positive and negative purchase situations, while purchase satisfaction mediates fair price perceptions and repurchase intentions. Consumer Trust and Online Security in the UK Banking Sector
The expanded use of online banking has generated major worries about consumer trust and the security of their financial information. As online banking becomes more prevalent in the United Kingdom it becomes essential to ensure consumers trust the security measures of these platforms. This research examined what elements create trust and security among consumers in the UK online banking industry. The study examined critical components including perceived usefulness, navigation simplicity and security effectiveness to understand their impact on consumer trust. The study proves significant because it fills research gaps while delivering valuable insights that help financial institutions improve consumer trust through enhanced user experience and security measures. The research objectives were met through quantitative methods which involved gathering data using an online survey from 55 participants from 1st October to 30th October 2024. The survey targeted multiple aspects such as ease of navigation through the platform, the perceived usefulness of the system, user concerns about information security, and trust levels in online banking security measures. Through descriptive statistics, correlation analysis and linear regression techniques researchers analysed data to uncover how different factors affect consumer trust in online banking. The study utilized the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Protection Motivation Theory (PMT) as guiding theoretical frameworks for analysis. Three main factors including ease of navigation, the perceived usefulness of the system, and security information concerns emerged as significant drivers of consumer trust in online banking security. Although customers trust existing security protocols they require ongoing improvements and clear communication to sustain their confidence levels. Banks can use these findings to improve online platform trust by enhancing security measures and user experience. The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2026. -

Consuming Appetites, Disappearing Meals: Things Becoming Food in Chana Porters The Thick and the Lean
This paper aims to highlight the complex entanglements between the material and metaphorical meanings of food in literature through a close reading of Chana Porters The Thick and the Lean (2023). The novel follows the appetites and aspirations of three women in an alternative world where good food is taboo and culinary pleasures are forbidden; instead, abstinence from eating is hailed as the ultimate form of devotion. Drawing on Emma Roes conceptualization of things becoming food, this paper examines the mechanism through which foodstuff gainsor fails to gainmeaning in Porters food-averse universe. It argues that the novel challenges conventional perceptions of female appetites by reconfiguring edibility as constituted through intercorporeal as well as discursive practices. The paper approaches this process as a form of translation, contending that Porter integrates content and form to highlight the resistive potential of food and female appetites in capitalist food systems. 2025 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC. -

Content Based Deep Factorization Framework for Scientific Article Recommender System
With the advancement in technology and the tremendous number of citations available in the digital libraries, it has become difficult for the research scholars to find a relevant set of reference papers. The accelerating rate of scientific publications results in the problem of information overload because of which the scholars spend their 70% of the time finding relevant papers. A citation recommendation system resolves the issue of spending a good amount of time and other resources for collecting a set of papers by providing the user with personalised recommendations of the articles. Existing state of art models do not take high-low order feature interactions into consideration, due to which the recommendations are not up to the desired level of performance. In this paper, we propose a content-based model which combines Deep Neural Network (DNN) and Factorization Machines (FM) where no pre-trainings are required for providing the citation recommendations. 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. -
Content Based Scientific Article Recommendation System Using Deep Learning Technique
The emergence of the era of big data has increased the ease with which scientific users can access academic articles with better efficiency and accuracy from a pool of papers available. With the exponential increase in the number of research papers that are getting published every year, it has made scholars face the problem of information overload where they find it difficult to conduct comprehensive literature surveys. An article recommendation system helps in overcoming this issue by providing users with personalized recommendations based on their interests and choices. The common approaches used for recommendation are Content-Based Filtering (CBF) and Collaborative Filtering (CF). Even though there is much advancement in the field of article recommendation systems, a content-based approach using a deep learning technology is still in its inception. In this work, a C-SAR model using Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) and association rule mining Apriori algorithm to provide a recommendation of articles based on the similarity in the content were proposed. The combination of a deep learning technique along with a classical algorithm in data mining is expected to provide better results than the state-of-art model in suggesting similar papers. 2021, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. -
