Does integrated store service quality determine omnichannel customer lifetime value? Role of commitment, relationship proneness, and relationship program receptiveness
Purpose: Building on the relationship marketing and stimulus-organism-response (SOR) theory, the purpose of this paper is to study the impact of the integrated store service quality (ISSQ) on the omnichannel customer lifetime value (CLV). The mediating role of customer commitment (affective, normative and continuance) and relationship program receptiveness with the moderating role of customer relationship proneness were relied upon to better understand the omnichannel customer profitability metric (CLV). Design/methodology/approach: The study is descriptive and relies upon the cross-sectional data collected using the self-administered structured questionnaires from 785 omnichannel shoppers. A purposive sampling technique was performed in the study. Structural equation modeling was performed using the SMART-PLS 4.0 software to analyze the data. Findings: The results indicate that omnichannel customer commitment (affective, normative and continuance) differentially mediates the relationship between ISSQ and relationship program receptiveness, subsequently impacting the omnichannel CLV. The customer relationship proneness significantly and positively moderated the relationships between different dimensions of customer commitment and relationship program receptiveness. Research limitations/implications: The study relied upon the cross-sectional data from the Indian population aged above 18years for testing the proposed model. Further studies could test the model across different populations to generalize the study results. Originality/value: This study addresses the need to investigate the omnichannel retail store customer profitability and their relationship performance with the store. By testing the customer relationship management model in the omnichannel retail store context, this study is the first to show that ISSQ will impact the customer profitability and relationship performance metric (CLV) through omnichannel customer commitment and relationship program receptiveness. The moderating effect of customer relationship proneness on a few proposed hypotheses was also tested to give managerial recommendations. 2024, Emerald Publishing Limited. -

Does perceived corporate social responsibility improve customer engagement? - An empirical evidence from Indian banks
In recent years, banks are trying to embed their corporate social responsibility (CSR) and societal outreach initiatives into their strategic process to improve their competitive advantage and performance. A previous study reveals that CSR initiatives and efforts of the banks will likely to positively influence the customers attitudes toward that bank and generate favourable behavioural outcomes. This study will provide a deeper investigation of whether the perceived CSR discriminate against the customer engagement level in the bank. This paper attempts to measure the discriminating power of CSR towards customer engagement. Maignan and Ferrells (2004) scale was used to ascertain the corporate social responsibility, and for measuring customer engagement, the Gallop scale (2001) was used. Primary data was collected through a simple random sampling technique from 612 customers across different banks. The discriminant analysis was carried out to find out the discriminating power of CSR towards customer engagement. Discriminating function model results exactly predicting customer engagement level based on the CSR initiatives. The findings are supportive and helpful for the banks in formulating effective CRM Strategy to satisfy and engage their customer at a high level through effectively articulated CSR plans and policies. 2024 Inderscience Publishers. Does Political Marketing Require Customer Value? Conceptualization, Dimensions, and Research Agenda
The Purpose of the Study is to examine the Political Marketing (PM) with regard to its Different Conceptualizations and Dimensions toward the Customer Value. Through an extensive literature review, the study has drawn meaning and dimensions of PM, and based on the literature, the study was able to conceptualize the meaning of Customer Value in the realm of PM. The study was able to address that PM in developing economies, as suggested in this paper, may be constrained by secrecy, lack of secondary data, and the relevance of this study depended on the leaders appearance and constant presence in social forums. Conceptualization and dimensions of the study are dependent on the executive social presence-based studies that have been incorporated for the study. Future studies can move forward and use an empirical design in which a leader serves as a stimulator to drive engagement. In conclusion, the study offers practical recommendations for researchers and practitioners, underlining the need for empirical validation and the creation of frameworks sensitive to contextual differences. Future inquiries, including longitudinal and cross-cultural studies, are recommended to further clarify the role of customer value in the evolving landscape of PM. 2026 The authors. -
Does risk management components influence on project success? Evidence from IT sector
All organizations and stakeholders would ideally like to see an information technology (IT) project managed successfully. Many researchers have strongly debated the importance of risk management in project management about the size of the project since it gives project managers a forward-looking view of risks and chances to increase the project's success. The main aim of the study is to determine how risk management parameters and their mediated effects impact the effectiveness of IT projects. Data was collected from 261 IT professionals involved in projects through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using regression and SEM to test their statistical significance and prove the hypothesis. The study arrived at some significant results which showed the relationship of Risk Identification and Risk Analysis on Risk Assessment, which impacts Project Success. It also showed that the success of the project depended on Stake-holders Tolerance and Risk Implementation. In addition to this, the study provides evidence that risk management does not influence the success of the project. The study's discovery of the intervening impact of risk management practices clarifies preconceived conceptions in the risk management sector. 2024 Growing Science Ltd. All rights reserved. -
Does robotic service quality determine robotic restaurant diners engagement behaviors? Role of customer engagement andattachment to the restaurant
Purpose: Robotic restaurants are very novel, and service robots in these restaurants are identified as offering unique advantages in terms of efficiency, tireless service and potentially lower operational costs. However, studying customer engagement with the robots can reveal aspects of robotic service that resonate with diners. Understanding how diners interact with robots can help create a more engaging and enjoyable atmosphere, bringing more business to restaurants. Building on the stimulus-organism-response (SOR) theory and place attachment theory, the purpose of this paper is to study the impact of the robotic service quality (RSQ) on the customer attachment to the robotic restaurant with the mediating role of the different dimensions of the customer engagement, like the Absorptive Attention, Enthusiastic Participation and Social Connection. Subsequently, the impact of the customer attachment to the robotic restaurant on different dimensions of customer engagement behaviors like augmenting, co-developing, influencing and mobilizing behaviors was also studied. Design/methodology/approach: The cross-sectional data from 786 robotic restaurant diners in India who answered the self-administered structured questionnaires is utilized for this descriptive study. The study employed a purposive sampling strategy. The SMART-PLS 4.0 program was used to run structural equation modeling and analyze the data. Findings: The results indicate that customer engagement dimensions like Absorptive Attention, Enthusiastic Participation and Social Connection differentially mediate the relationship between RSQ and customer attachment with the robotic restaurant. Customer attachment to the restaurant and the robotic services subsequently positively impact customer engagement behaviors. Research limitations/implications: The study relied upon cross-sectional data from the Indian population above 18years to test the proposed model. Further studies could test the model across different populations to generalize the study results. Originality/value: This study addresses the need to investigate robotic restaurant diners engagement behaviors. By testing place attachment theory and the SOR framework, this study is the first to show that RSQ will impact the customer attachment with the robotic restaurant and that different dimensions of customer engagement mediate the relationship. It also validates the previous research findings that customer engagement is not a single global construct, and different sub-dimensions are to be explored. This study is also the first to show customer attachment to the robotic restaurant will impact customer engagement behaviors differently. 2024, Emerald Publishing Limited. -
Does salesperson-brand personality congruence impact perceived service quality of the salesperson? A study of small retailers in emerging markets
Purpose: Based on the theoretical lenses of social identity theory (SIT), this research study analyses the dyadic relationship of congruence between salesperson and brand personality. By exploring the salesperson-brand personality congruence, this study proposes to measure the impact of this congruence on the retailers perception of salespersons perceived service quality performance (SalesPerf). Design/methodology/approach: The study is structured around collecting data from small retailers through an offline survey. In this study, linear associations between the various elements of the theoretical model are determined using covariance-based Structural Equation Modeling (CB-SEM). Findings: The analysis of results suggest that a retailer's perception of the salesperson's brand personality congruence positively influences the salesperson's perceived service quality. However, the retailer's satisfaction with the brand does not moderate the relationship between the retailer's perception of the salesperson's brand personality congruence and the salesperson's perceived service quality. Originality/value: This research fills the void in contemporary research by adopting a novel strategy to examine the perception of retailers toward the dyadic relationship between salesperson-brand congruence (SBPC) and salesperson's perceived service quality (PSQ). The study further enriches the existing literature by measuring the moderating role of retailer's satisfaction with the brand (SAT) on the retailer's perception of the salesperson's brand congruence (SBPC) and salesperson's perceived service quality (PSQ). 2025, Emerald Publishing Limited. -
Does Sentiment and Emotion Affect Mental Health? A Multi-task Classification Framework for Comprehensive Understanding of Mental Health, Emotion, and Sentiment from Motivational Conversations
In light of the escalating challenges posed by our modern lifestyle, cultivating a nuanced approach for addressing mental health issues becomes imperative. Navigating the complexities of daily life demands a thoughtful and comprehensive strategy to identify and address the diverse array of mental health issues that may manifest. The challenges in accurately identifying mental health expressions stem from their complex character of communication, which frequently shares linguistic patterns and similar expressive nuances as communicated by humans. However, we hypothesize that mental health conditions are closely associated with affective factors in particular feelings, moods, and emotions. These states define how we think, feel, and behave. Thus, in this article, we aim to explore and analyze the association of the affective states such as sentiment and emotion with mental health in the view of identifying mental health conditions accurately once the feelings and emotions of humans are understood. In this regard, this article investigates multi-task classification encompassing mental health disorder identification (MHDI), emotion recognition (ER), and sentiment analysis (SA) in non-clinical conversations where MHDI forms the primary task and ER-SA the auxiliary tasks boosting the identification of the primary one. To demonstrate our hypothesis, we propose Core Fusion Network (CFN), a variation of multi-tasking in light of the significance that sentiment and emotion plays in understanding mental health. This method adeptly considers private and shared features across tasks, significantly enhancing classification precision. For our study, we extend the recently released MotiVAte dataset containing dyadic conversations between support seekers and a virtual assistant imparting hope and motivation to enclose emotion and sentiment tags for each conversation in a semi-supervised manner. Our hypothesis is reinforced by an extensive ablation study with state-of-the-art multi-task models and the proposed Core Fusion Network (CFN), which exhibits increased accuracy of 89.12% for MHDI, 64.24% for ER, and 79.04% for SA in the tri-task variant as opposed to its corresponding uni-task and bi-task variants. These outcomes underscore the potential of multi-task learning in streamlining mental health classification by integrating emotional and sentiment dimensions. 2025 Copyright held by the owner/author(s) Publication rights licensed to ACM. -

Does the green finance initiatives transform the world into a green economy? A study of green bond issuing countries
Green finance initiatives have received global support in modern times, relatively in response to safeguard the environment and preserve natural resources through channelizing the investments to create a green economy. This paper attempts to evaluate and compare the green finance growth in green bond issuing nations across the world. This study also assesses the effect of green finance growth on the dependence of non-renewable energy resources especially fossil fuels that have been creating several environmental issues for the past years. This study develops a pressure-state-response framework to evaluate the comprehensive system of green finance growth that depicts the interaction of sub-aspects. We employ the entropy technique to calculate the weights at each level within the evaluation system. We also constructed empirical models to assess the relationship between green finance growth and dependence on fossil fuel consumption and found that there exists a negative relationship between the two. The results convey that proliferation of green finance instruments can reduce the dependence on fossil fuels and smoothen the transition towards a carbon negative world. 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature. -

Does the nifty sectoral indices shake hands with nifty?: A time series analysis
Capital market in absolute sense is regarded as the mirror of the economy. Economy is a combination of various sectors. A sectoral index acts as barometer for the performance of that sector. As sectors are interrelated, this calls for studying the vulnerability of the each sector with the market as a whole .With an attempt to contribute to the meager amount of research on the sectoral indices of Indian capital market, this study aims to analyze the dependence of Nifty on its sectoral variants. This research will help in identifying the sector that has been the cause of movement in the market which can be beneficial in understanding and predicting the potential movement in the market by giving an inside of the vicious circle. The study include unit root test, co-integration and Granger causality test. The results of unit root test reveal that all the indices are non-stationary. It was observed that there are no co-integrating equations which was also discovered in the previous papers. The granger casualty test reveal that Auto, Bank, Energy and pharma are the sectors that have causal relation with the Nifty and Financial services, FMCG and IT sectors are the ones that do not have any causal relation with the Nifty. Does the relationship between sustainable human resource management and organizational identification vary by culture? Evidence from 35 countries based onGLOBE framework
Purpose The article discusses the relationships between sustainable HRM and organizational identification, conceptualized at the individual level, and the moderating role of cultural dimensions conceptualized at the country level (described in GLOBEs framework). The studys theoretical model based on social exchange theory proposes that sustainable HRM practice increases organizational identification. However, the strength of this identification depends on the dimensions of national culture. Thus, we assumed national culture functions as a second-level moderator in the relationship between sustainable HRM and organizational identification. Design/methodology/approach We conducted the study with data from 10, 421 employees across 35 countries. We used a multilevel modeling approach for data analysis. Findings The study revealed the cross-level interaction effects of national culture on the relationship between sustainable HRM practice and organizational identification. Specifically, the results indicate that sustainable HRM strengthens employees organizational identification more in cultures with higher levels of gender egalitarianism and lower levels of humane orientation. Originality/value This study demonstrates that the relationship between sustainable HRM practices and employees organizational identification is culturally sensitive. It highlights the need to consider cultural context when assessing the impact of sustainable HRM practices on employee outcomes. Furthermore, it shows that certain cultural dimensions can enhance the effect of sustainable HRM practices. 2025 Dariusz Turek et al. Published by Emerald Publishing Limited. -

Dolastatins and their analogues present a compelling landscape of potential natural and synthetic anticancer drug candidates
Human cancer remains a leading cause of global mortality. Traditional treatment methods, while effective are often associated with substantial side effects, high technical requirements, and considerable expenses. Recently, anticancer peptides, such as dolastatin-type peptides naturally found in marine mollusc Dolabella auricularia, have gained attention due to their enhanced characteristics and specific targeting of cancer cells with minimal toxicity to normal cells. This review aims to provide a comprehensive summary of the anticancer activities of natural dolastatins and synthetic analogues over the past 35 years, focusing on their utilization in advancing cancer treatment strategies. This updated review encompasses a detailed analysis of numerous studies demonstrating the cytotoxic effects of dolastatins and their synthetic analogues on various human tumour cell lines. The analysis includes investigations into their ability to activate apoptosis pathways, inhibit cell cycle progression, and indirectly limit inflammation and angiogenesis in tumours. Both natural dolastatins and synthetic analogues have demonstrated significant anticancer properties through a variety of mechanisms in vitro and in vivo pharmacological studies. Some have even advanced to clinical trials, either alone or in combination with other agents, and have shown promising outcomes. The biological activities of dolastatins and their synthetic analogues offer a promising path in the development of more effective and sustainable anticancer drugs. Their specific action on cancer cells and relative non-toxicity to normal cells highlight their potential as superior cancer therapeutic agents. The current study provides a platform for the most recent preclinical and clinical research on dolastatins and their analogues. Further research into these marine peptides may contribute to the development of sustainable and efficient treatment models for cancer, filling a significant gap in the current cancer therapeutic portfolio. 2023 The Authors -
