Impact of Behavioural Biases, Emotional Intelligence and Financial Literacy on Financial Behaviour
Behavioural finance is the integration of finance and psychology. Finance pertains to the administration of finances by an individual, while psychology involves the examination of the mind and human conduct. Behavioural finance provides a reasonable explanation for the abnormalities observed in financial markets and the irrational decisions made by investors. The foundation of behavioural finance lies in the irrational choices made by individuals, which elucidates the reasons for investors frequently encountering different biases, emotional filters, and a lack of knowledge when making financial decisions. The primary challenges stem from three critical deficiencies: the investors' inability to express their cognitive and emotional biases, insufficient financial knowledge, and an inability to regulate emotions during financial decision-making. This study investigates the influence of investors' financial literacy, emotional intelligence, and behavioural bias on their financial conduct. Studies have shown that behavioural biases negatively impact financial behaviour. Financial literacy and emotional intelligence have been recognised as critical elements that significantly impact the financial behaviour of salaried class investors. -
Impact of bioconvection on the free stream flow of a pseudoplastic nanofluid past a rotating cone
In the current work, the repercussions of Brownian motion and thermophoresis on the three-dimensional free stream flow of tangent hyperbolic (pseudoplastic) nanofluid past a rotating cone are explored. The tangent hyperbolic model expresses the characteristics of a shear-thinning nanofluid. Furthermore, oxytactic microorganisms were used as mixers to actively stabilize the nanoparticles. The movement of these microorganisms within the nanofluid gives rise to a major phenomenon termed bioconvection. The flow of nanofluid past a rotating cone finds applications in the field of nuclear reactors, biomedical applications, solar power collectors, steam generators, and so on. The mathematical model is designed using Buongiorno's model that describes the two major slip mechanisms experienced by the nanoparticles moving within a fluid namely thermophoretic force and Brownian motion. The model thus formed is nondimensionalized using the apt similarity transformation. The resulting system is solved by the (Formula presented.) technique by adapting the shooting method. The velocity, temperature, concentration, and motile density profiles are graphically interpreted for different flow parameters involved in the study. It was observed that thermophoresis reduces concentration and enhances the temperature whereas Brownian motion enhanced both temperature and concentration profiles. Also, the increase in the mixed convection parameter effectively decreased the temperature of the nanofluid. 2022 Wiley Periodicals LLC. -
Impact of blended education system on outcome-based learning and sector skills development
An effective education system transforms the teaching and learning process into innovative idea generation and independent working ability. A blended education system is the representation of effective education that connects the teachers, students, and educational institutions for content development, delivery of effective teaching methods, and choice-based learning. The motive for initiating the research work was to address the demand for outcome-based learning in society that can fulfill the sector-wise human resource requirements and sector skill development. A blended education system helps to design effective courses and degrees with the capacity of choosing subjects, lectures, and teachers either in online or offline mode of education. The system may also assist in preparing the learning pattern like classroom-based learning, internship-based learning, or learning through project works. The researchers identified the dependent and independent variables with the help of expert opinion. The questionnaire was designed with all relevant questions based on the variables and refined through a pilot study. The research outcomes are described by understanding the nature of quantitative data using statistical tools like frequency distribution, t-test, and ANOVA test with the connectivity of qualitative data and the reality of social issues. 2023 IEEE. -

Impact of boundary conditions on Rayleigh-Bard convection: stability, heat transfer and chaos
The paper compares the results of Rayleigh-Bard convection problem for rigid-rigid-isothermal, rigid-free-isothermal and free-free isothermal boundaries. A minimal Fourier-Galerkin expansion yields the generalized-Lorenz-model whose scaled version is reduced to the Stuart-Landau-model using the multiscale-method. Nusselt number is estimated for both steady and unsteady regimes. Regular, chaotic, and periodic natures of the solution are studied using the Hopf-Rayleigh-number and by means of a bifurcation diagram. The linear and weakly-nonlinear-analyses reveal that the onset of regular and chaotic motions in the case of rigid-free-isothermal boundaries happens later than that of free-free isothermal boundaries but earlier than rigid-rigid-isothermal boundaries. It is shown that the scaled-Lorenz-model possesses all the features of the classical-Lorenz-model. Beyond the value of the Hopf-Rayleigh-number, we observe chaotic-motion between two consecutive spells of periodic motion. It is found that one can also have a window of periodicity for all three boundaries. 2024 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group. -

Impact of Brexit on bond yields and volatility spillover across France, Germany, UK, USA, and India's debt markets
Britain's decision to exit the EU lead to disruptions in global markets. This study investigates the change in the return and volatility spillover pattern due to the repercussions of the Brexit vote between the US, France, the UK, Germany, and India's 10-year government bond yields by applying the VAR and GARCH-BEKK models. The findings demonstrate a substantial rise in the return spillover to India and USA 10-year government bond yields following the Brexit vote compared to the pre-Brexit vote era. In addition, the results showed evidence of unidirectional volatility spillover from India to France, bidirectional volatility spillover between the USA and India, and unidirectional volatility spillover from the UK to India 10-year government bond market post-Brexit vote. However, there was no interconnection between these markets before the Brexit vote. Therefore, the Brexit vote did affect and significantly increased the linkage between the US, France, the UK, and India's 10-year government bond market. The increase in correlation in India-US, India-UK, and India-France's 10-year government bond markets will help predict and have an important implication for hedgers, decision-makers, and portfolio managers if similar political events occur in the future. Impact of Carbon Nanofiber Fillers on Surface Finish and Dimensional Accuracy in FDM-printed Polymer Composites Parts
This paper examines the effect of carbon nanofiber (CNF) reinforcement on the surface finish and dimensional accuracy of the polylactic acid (PLA) composite produced using fused deposition modeling (FDM). Twin-screw compounding was used to prepare PLA-CNF composite filaments with 03wt.% CNF with extrusion of filaments (L/D ratio 30:1, 120rpm). To prepare rectangular specimens (10 10 20mm), the filaments were printed with the nozzle size of 0.4 mm, the layer thickness of 0.1 mm, the infill density of 100%, and the print speed of 5 mm/s. Dimensional accuracy was assessed by a digital vernier caliper with a resolution of 0.01 mm, and surface roughness (Ra) was measured by a digital surface tester that was stylus-based. Every measurement was averaged three times, and the statistical examination of percent deviation and variance analysis of compositions was done. Findings show that CNF addition was important with respect to the dimensional stability and surface finish. The volume variation of the print decreased to 0.20% of PLA/3 wt.% CNF compared to 0.30% of neat PLA, which is a 33% smaller variation of the dimensional accuracy. The surface roughness also reduced as 0.70 ?m of neat PLA was reduced to 0.42 ?m of PLA/3 wt.% CNF, which is a 40% decrease. It was statistically tested that trends of consistent improvement were observed between compositions. The findings indicate that CNF reinforcement results in a higher level of geometric accuracy and less surface morphology in FDM-printed polymer composites. 2026 World Scientific Publishing Company. -
