Death metal is often stereotyped as an extreme form of art which reflects community attitudes. Through this study, I intend to analyze the big 5 personality traits among young Bangalorean's that have a preference for death metal music. This paper will also will attempt to analyze the lyrics of 10 famous tracks from the genre that will be studied in terms of misogynic and occult themes.
