- Description
- Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) play a pivotal role in nurturing personal and professional development in students. These institutions are essential in equipping students with the skills required for life. The graduate attributes aid the graduates in attaining the whole person's growth or holistic development. There are many ways through which students can achieve graduate attributes. Service Learning is a structured, credit- based coursework designed by HEIs to accomplish optimal student learning outcomes. It is most beneficial for community students and all other stakeholders. Design thinking in SL involves figuring out peoples problems and developing practical and implementable ideas. Service Learning (SL) is a pedagogical approach that involves applying classroom learning for the improvement and welfare of society. It is a form of inclusive education that bridges the gap between the classroom and society. Despite being a widely used pedagogical approach in HEIs, it also faces specific challenges in its implementation. 2025 by IGI Global Scientific Publishing.
