Understanding Binary Employees Awareness Toward LGBTQ Inclusion atWorkplaces
The LGBTQ [Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer] community does not comply with the conventional categorization of gender identity and sexual orientation. While there are laws that provide reservations to transgender employees, the other members of the LGBTQ community still find job security as a significant career threat if the member is open about their respective gender identity or sexual orientation. Individuals who belong to the LGBTQ community are facing several forms of discrimination in the workplace. Obtaining jobs has also become problematic. The study aims to understand the gender binary employees awareness, perspective, and support toward the LGBTQ community. The study is exploratory. The sample consisted of 238 respondents; data was collected from gender-binary employees working in white collared jobs in Bengaluru City. Gender has an impact on the awareness of binary employees regarding the LGBTQ community, sexual orientation, and sexual identity. With inclusion practices, diversity policy, and pride celebration, the world is moving toward an inclusive and welcoming sphere. Still, the absence of awareness and support will hinder the development and welfare of the LGBTQ community. The findings denote the need to increase awareness and broaden the horizon of inclusion practices. Applying inclusion awareness at all employment levels is imperative to create an equity-driven and inclusive workplace. Understanding evolution, development, and transitioning of digital financial inclusion: A bibliometric study
Different countries across the globe are trying hard to address the challenges of poverty alleviation. Various studies conducted in the past have highlighted the essence of financial inclusion in poverty alleviation. Adoption of financial inclusion acts as a major trigger for developing countries to foster economic growth as it helps in fostering saving, investment, and helps society in attaining financial independence. Economies across the globe are striving hard to accomplish sustainable development goals. The speedy compliance with SDG goals can only be realized through the adoption of ICT. Some of the SDG goals like reduced inequalities (SDG10), quality education (SDG 4), and industry innovation and infrastructure (SDG 9) cannot be attained without the adoption of technology. Effective blend of technology helps countries in achieving targets like digital financial inclusion, digital education, advanced healthcare services, green energy, and addressing other climate related issues. Financial inclusion consists of providing sufficient access to a diverse range of financial products and services. In an era of information technology, digital transformation has brought a major shift in demand and supply side of financial inclusion. In order to understand the progress of the past 23 years in digital financial inclusion, the study has conducted a systematic review and bibliometric analysis of digital financial inclusion domain. The study intends to explore the present status of digital financial inclusion, most prominent studies published in this domain, influential countries, influential authors, and collaborative tendencies between authors. Through Biblioshiny R and Vos-viewer software, the study intends to conduct temporal analysis of influential authors and countries as it helps to understand the emergence of new researchers, institutions, and countries over a time. The study also intends to explore thematic analysis of digital financial inclusion domain, influential theories derived from literature, and assessment of influential studies published for the past 23 years. In the final phase, the study intends to propose various antecedents of digital financial inclusion that have been identified through in-depth scrutiny of literature. 2024, IGI Global. Unlocking eudaimonic well-being: Assessing the impact of adolescent social cognitive skills training
Eudaimonic well-being (EWB) has long-lasting effects on individuals' mental health, enabling them to find purpose and meaning in life, depending on the individual and society. Social cognitive skills training constitutes a new aspect of the adolescent's social development, including three domains: cognitive ToM, affective ToM, and an inter-intra-personal understanding of social norms. This chapter identifies the effectiveness of A-SCST on eudaimonic well-being (EWB) during adolescence. A quasi-experimental research design was used in this study. The authors administrated the PWB-18 scale as a screening tool and the PWB-42 item scale as an outcome measure. Seventy-four participants and adolescents participated in this study. This study confirmed that A-SCST has a positive outcome on the eudaimonic well-being of adolescents post-training with a large effect size, t =-13.0, df = 35, p <.001, r =-2.17 in the experimental group. The A-SCST has successfully improved the eudaimonic well-being of adolescents. 2024, IGI Global. -
Unlocking Happiness: The Power of Spiritual Intelligence for Emerging Adults
This study investigated the relationship between spiritual intelligence (SI) and happiness among emerging adults. 163 undergraduate and postgraduate psychology students from private universities completed standardized measures of SI and subjective happiness. Results showed positive correlations between SI and happiness (r = 0.26 to 0.59, p <.01). Two SI domains - transcendental awareness and conscious state expansion - were found to be significant predictors of happiness. The findings suggest that SI plays a crucial role in promoting happiness among emerging adults, supporting the hypothesis that SI can be used as an aid in the process of achieving happiness through independent decision-making and responsibility. 2024 selection and editorial matter, Dr. Sundeep Katevarapu, Dr. Anand Pratap Singh, Dr. Priyanka Tiwari, Ms. Akriti Varshney, Ms. Priya Lanka, Ms. Aankur Pradhan, Dr. Neeraj Panwar, Dr. Kumud Sapru Wangnue; individual chapters, the contributors. -

Unobtrusive Engagement Detection through Semantic Pose Estimation and Lightweight ResNet for an Online Class Environment
Analysing student engagement in a class through unobtrusive methods enhances the learning and teaching experience. During these pandemic times, where the classes are conducted online, it is imperative to efficiently estimate the engagement levels of individual students. Helping teachers to annotate and understand the significant learning rate of the students is critical and vital. To facilitate the analysis of estimating the engagement levels among students, this paper proposes a dual channel model to precisely detect the attention level of individual students in a classroom. Considering the possible inaccuracy of emotion recognition, a dual channel is configured with a Lightweight ResNet model for macro-level attention estimation and a 3d pose estimation using Euler angles for Pitch, yaw and roll that is trained, validated and tested on the Daisee database. The Emotional detection extracts the context of Engaged, frustrated, confused and disgust as higher levels of classroom attention cognition while the facial pose coordinates provide the real-time movement of the faces in the video to provide a series of engaged and disengaged coordinates. The Lightweight ResNet Model achieves a 95.5% accuracy and the Pose estimation test is able to distinguish the test videos at 92% as Engaged and Bored on the Daisee Dataset. The Overall Accuracies using the Dual channel was curated to 87%. 2023 Scrivener Publishing LLC. -

Unraveling the complexity of thyroid cancer prediction: A comparative examination of imputation methods and ML algorithms
Despite being relatively rare, thyroid cancer is being identified more often as a result of improved awareness and detection. Even if it has a high survival rate, it is crucial to comprehend its forms, risk factors, and therapies. Better results and prompt intervention are made possible by the early detection of thyroid cellular alterations made possible by evolving machine learning (ML) techniques. The USA Cancer Data Access System's Thyroid Cancer Factor Data, gathered from patient questionnaires, are used in this study. Missing values and imbalance in the dataset are addressed using resampling techniques (SMOTE, under-sampling) and imputation techniques (Median, KNN). To increase the accuracy of thyroid cancer prediction and improve early identification and prognoses for improved patient care, a comparative analysis of machine learning algorithms (ML) (Logistic Regression, LDA, KNN, Decision Tree, SVM, Naive Bayes) with imputation and resampling techniques is being conducted. 2024, IGI Global.
