Analysis of impact investment for sustainable development in India
Impact investment is a form of investing the purpose of which is to generate not just financial returns, but positive social or environmental impacts also. The objective of this research is to observe the trends that are being followed in the Indian impact investing landscape and draw the comparisons and/or similarities with the data published by the Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN), a nonprofit organisation committed to expanding the scope of impact investing globally. For the objective of gauging the Indian impact investment movement, primary data was collected through a survey of 238 Indian impact investors, and the data collected was analysed descriptively and compared with secondary data available on the GIIN's website. The insights that are provided by this study shall aid investors as they are encouraged to review the implications for their own strategies and patterns of investing and investigate these actionable measures so as to facilitate a sustained responsible industry growth, improve market transparency, and reinforce the patterns of investment decision-making. 2024, IGI Global. Transformations to and implications for the human rights concept in the internet age
The critical shifts in the utility, implementation, and enforcement of human rights have been achieved as a result of the rise of cutting-edge technological innovation. As a result, there has been a plethora of research on the expansion of beneficiaries of the human rights and the subject matter of such rights. The authors of this chapter contend that in this era of technology, we need to reevaluate our approach to human rights, broaden the scope of those to whom obligations relating to human rights apply by including corporations and other organizations, and be ready to consider the possibility that artificial intelligence will become a topic of discussion in public relations and fundamental rights. In this chapter, a three-pronged approach to thinking about digital rights is presented. This method takes into consideration the subtle structural impact that considering human rights in the digital age has on the job that the courts do. 2024 by IGI Global. All rights reserved. -

Adapting palates: A mapping of food neophobia and neophilia in the shift towards sustainable food consumption
This research explores how two different personality traits-neophilia and neophobia-affect people's eating habits and preferences in the context of sustainable gastronomy tourism. Neophilia, which indicates an openness to trying new culinary experiences, contrasts with neophobia, which is defined as a fear of new foods. Data was collected from 234 gastronomy tourists in Bangalore to examine these dynamics. Smart PLS-SEM 4 was utilized for data analysis. The survey investigated the attitudes and behaviours of participants regarding sustainable food practices that they encountered while engaging in gastronomy tourism. The results show that food neophobia significantly improves people's perceptions of food quality, which further had a statistically significant favourable influence on sustainable consumption; it had no significant effect on post-consumption behaviour. The study highlights how vital gastronomy is to improving experiences, preserving local identity, and drawing tourists-particularly in the rapidly growing category of culinary tourism. 2024, IGI Global. A Secure Resilient Scheme for Autonomous Vehicles against External Attacks
Autonomous vehicular ad hoc networks are networks created with autonomous vehicles and other entities in the vehicular environment. Like traditional vehicular ad hoc networks, autonomous ad hoc networks are also prone to internal and external attacks. Many authentication schemes are proposed to overcome internal attacks, whereas external attacks are not focused on. Though the impact of external attacks is less when compared to that of internal attacks, external attackers observe and analyze the network traffic information, which will be helpful for the internal attackers to affect the performance of the network. Hence, this chapter proposes a secure identity-based authentication scheme without pairings against external attacks. It uses an elliptic curve cryptography-based identity-based signature to authenticate vehicles. The proposed authentication scheme ensures secure vehicular communications, including inter-vehicular communication, without RSUs during emergencies. Simulation results demonstrate its superior performance. 2024 River Publishers. All rights reserved. -

Effect of psychological pricing on consumer buying behaviour: A study on indian consumers
Consumer behaviour is a topic most sought after when it comes to creating successful marketing practices that affect consumers' psychology, acting as a stimulus and inducing them to make purchases. Evidence explains that the psychological pricing strategy communicates with the subconscious mind of consumers, creating a perceptual illusion. This makes the deal seem more appealing to them. This chapter entails a practical study examining the impact of psychological pricing strategies on consumers' buying behaviour. This study has used authentic primary data that has been collected directly from consumers in India based on their buying experiences when encountering psychological pricing. The findings of this research show how socio-demographic factors like age, income, education, gender and family size influence consumers' buying behaviour when encountered with psychological pricing and if psychological patterns such as the anchoring heuristics, recency bias, scarcity effect and halo effect can overpower the influence of psychological pricing strategies in consumer buying behaviour. 2024, IGI Global.
