Topological insights into weather dynamics in the Indian context: An application of clustering and Mapper algorithm
Analysis of day-to-day weather patterns is critical and essential in daily life. Although traditional methods exist, in modern times, we have developed realistic and reliable methods to provide better insights and understanding of complex weather patterns for various surges, especially in these times of global warming. Implementing clustering and topological data analysis in this analysis has looked into a vast understanding of how regions with similar characteristics behave when weather changes occur due to heat, pressure, or wind-related phenomena. The classification model developed using Mapper analysis has produced 95.8% accuracy, concluding that weather follows a transient weather pattern due to various resources and how stagnant conditions affect transient weather patterns, causing rise in sub-clusters. Effect of digital financial literacy on digital consumer protection: Mediating role of financial self-efficacy and financial confidence
The digital consumer is gaining importance in the current digital age and there is a need to adapt to the changing context. When discussing digital consumer protection, it's critical to gauge the degree of digital financial literacy. This study explores the mediating role of financial self-efficacy and financial confidence between digital financial literacy and digital consumer protection. The study was conducted in the Indian context, and the target population was users of digital platforms for financial activities in the age group of 20 to above 60. It was found that digital financial literacy significantly impacts digital consumer protection, financial self-efficacy, and financial confidence. However, only Financial self-efficacy and digital financial literacy impact digital consumer protection. It shows that financial self-efficacy mediates the relationship between digital financial literacy and digital consumer protection. The world's healthcare services are facing an unprecedented situation due to the recent outbreak of a novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Community and government health are adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. COVID-19 has continued to spread, and mortalities have risen steadily. The spread of this disease can therefore be controlled utilizing nonpharmacological methods, such as quarantine, isolation, and public health education. Recent breakthroughs in deep learning (DL) have led to an explosion in applications and services relating to artificial intelligence (AI). The rapid advancements in mobile computing and AI have enabled zillions of Bytes of data to be generated at the network edge from thousands of mobile devices and internet of things (IoT) devices connected to the Internet. As a result of the success of IoT and AI technologies, it is of utmost importance that we expand the AI frontiers to the network edge in order for big data to be fully tapped. The role of personal harmony and organisational citizenship behaviour in enhancing job satisfaction of teachers working in Indian higher educational institutions during the COVID-19 catastrophe in the VUCA world
Purpose: The COVID-19 pandemic has been a good example of a Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity (VUCA) world. Higher educational institutions (HEIs) have faced a massive hit because the jobs in this industry have become unexpected. Considering the most valuable assets 'Teachers' crunched in the VUCA crisis, the study intends to determine if personal harmony (PH) and organisational citizenship behaviour (OCB) would enhance teachersjob satisfaction (JS). Design/methodology/approach: Data are collected from the teachers of Indian HEIs and teachers who have experienced the impact of the COVID-19 catastrophe (VUCA). Considering the pandemic restrictions, data have been collected through an online survey (N = 364). Practical Implications: PH is an individual's internal quality and attribute that cannot be developed on force or situational need. Even in an uncertain situation, teachers have tried their best to contribute through professional service. Hence, people who possess PH contribute their best even though unsatisfied with their jobs. Originality/value: This study has focused on finding the relationship between two different variables, PH and OCB (which has not been explored in Asian countries, majorly in India, where it has a vast cultural diversity and structure influencing the educational policies) that hinders the factors influencing JS, where these two variables are highly influenced by hygiene factors such as values, culture, ethical standards, personal belief, leadership styles, and fair treatment showcased by the organisations/institutions. 2024 The authors. Ethics of digital journalism
Marshall McLuhan proposed that technological changes impact society. Digital media has enabled journalists to reach their audiences instantly with the news. Journalists need more time to decide what to report and how to present it. Ethics is the belief about what is morally correct or acceptable. Traditionally, newspaper reporters devised moral codes to help them in their professional decision-making. There emerged an almost universal set of principles that guided journalists in their profession. Television journalists were compelled to draw up a code of ethics to ward off criticism about sensationalism. Digital media has blurred the distinction between professional and citizen journalists. Twitter allows the man in the street to break the news as it happens. Privacy and copyright are just two of the significant issues that digital journalists must deal with. Digital media throws up these challenges, and this chapter aims to answer them. Why should businesses care about the metaverse
