Negative consumer engagement via food delivery applications: A real concern for generation Z?
The traits of Generation Z are notable for how they define and reshape themselves in the 21st century. The current study investigates the factors that Generation Z users consider when deciding on a food application. The respondents in the current study were divided into working and nonworking groups, and the results imply that since college students are still supported financially by their parents or guardians, their main concerns are higher discounts, prices, and quantities. An in-depth and semistructured questionnaire was addressed to both groups of 15 respondents belonging to Generation Z. The stakeholders who would benefit from this research would primarily be online delivery restaurants, food application developers, academic researchers, and Generation Z cohorts. 2024, IGI Global. A CONCEPTUAL MODEL FOR SKILL DEVELOPMENT: A KEY DRIVER FOR INCLUSIVE GROWTH AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
Purpose: This chapter explores the two major schemes applicable to skill development in India: Skill Acquisition and Knowledge Awareness for Livelihood Promotion (SANKALP) and Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY). Need for the Study: The primary objective of this research is to check the role of these schemes in enhancing the skills of socio-economically stressed community members for their livelihoods. The secondary aim is to analyse the outcomes of these schemes through a qualitative inquiry. Methodology: A survey was conducted, and the data was collected from trainees of the skill development programmes. Based on the responses, a qualitative content analysis was performed, which showed that most trainees have the thirst and urge to enhance their life skills for a minimalistic livelihood. Findings: The study concluded that though there are many schemes, only PMKVY is active. They focus on more than just youth communities. Instead, they consider individuals in different age categories. Practical Implications: The Government of India (GOI) is progressing towards a healthy economy to compete with other countries. For this mission to be achieved, skill and labour development is paramount. Appropriate training must be provided and administrated through government schemes. 2024 by P. S. Anuradha, L. Discovering the Micro-Clusters from a group of DHH learners: An approach using machine learning techniques
The e-learning environment is essentially helpful for improving the autonomous learning skills of the DHH learners. Facing numerous resources online, DHH learners need support to choose the right learning materials. This can be done by recommending suitable learning objects to similar types of learners. Hence, this research attempts to explore the possibilities of forming micro clusters from the group of DHH learners to improve the recommendation. As a result of k-means, three different micro clusters are formed. So, from the initial analysis, it is identified that the formation of micro clusters is possible, and features such as communication and learning ways play an important role in forming the well-defined micro clusters. This will definitely help the teachers in traditional classrooms and recommendation engines in e-learning to explore the micro clusters of learners with same learning patterns and communication preferences to appropriately stream the right pedagogical methods. 2024, IGI Global.
